Perhaps one of the most common sweet dishes today is strawberry cheesecake. America is rightfully considered the birthplace of this magnificent dessert; they say the most delicious cheesecakes can be found in New York City. But if you delve deeper into history, you'll discover that the first cheesecake was made in Ancient Greece before the Common Era and was served at the first Olympic Games. Much later, it made its way to the American continent, becoming a favorite dish for both adults and children. The recipe has remained an open secret, and today it's very popular.

In the 19th century, cream cheese, now known as Philadelphia, was invented, becoming the basis for this wonderful dessert. Today, no cheesecake recipe is complete without it. It's hard for anyone to imagine life without this delicate and sweet delicacy, a favorite in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Photos of these delicious and beautiful desserts now fill the covers of culinary magazines, online pages, and Instagram accounts.

Making strawberry cheesecake

Strawberry Cheesecake

This dessert is easy to make and doesn't require any special skills. Once you've made it, strawberry cheesecake will become a favorite sweet treat in your home.

In fact, there are a variety of ways to prepare this delicacy: the recipe can be simple (for example, no-bake), or more elaborate (with jelly-covered pastry). Let's look at several types and their photos.

Classic recipe

Strawberry Cheesecake Recipe

To prepare a traditional strawberry cheesecake we will need:

For the base

  • 200 g sweet crackers or shortbread cookies
  • 60 g butter
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

For filling

  • 750 g cream cheese (Philadelphia, Almette, Mascarpone)
  • 4 chicken eggs
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar or vanillin on the tip of a knife
  • juice of 1/2 lemon

For decoration:

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 100 g of sugar

To prepare the base, crush the cookies, melt the butter, and combine them. Add a couple of tablespoons of sugar. Stir constantly until smooth. The result will be a dense, pliable mixture. Press it into the pan using a cup or mug, packing it tightly. For easy removal of the finished cheesecake from the pan, line the bottom with parchment paper and grease the edges with butter.

The recipe is designed for a standard diameter 24 cm springform pan.

Place the base in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. During this time, prepare the cheese layer.

Add 4 tablespoons of sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla sugar or vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Add lemon juice. Beat with a mixer until smooth. Then add 4 eggs and beat at low speed until smooth. The mixture will be runny.

Remove the cheesecake from the refrigerator, fill it with the cheese mixture, and bake this culinary wonder in the oven for 60 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius (300 degrees Fahrenheit). Once the time is up, turn off the oven, open the door, and leave the dessert in the oven for another 40 minutes.

Important notes! For more even baking, experts recommend wrapping the bottom and sides of the pan with foil. Place the pan not on a wire rack, but on a baking sheet with a little water.

While the cheesecake is baking, prepare the strawberry sauce and garnish. Blend half the strawberries in a blender with sugar. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and place over low heat. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool to room temperature.

Cut the other half of the strawberries in half, you can leave some whole.

Once the cheesecake has cooled completely, carefully remove it from the pan, transfer it to a plate, and garnish with strawberry halves. Strawberry sauce can be drizzled over the center or served separately.

Depending on your oven, the top of the cheesecake may remain pale or brown. This doesn't mean the dessert is burnt. Either way, it's normal.

The dessert is served chilled. This is a wonderful recipe for those just learning to cook. The photo of the finished dish is quite impressive; imagine how delicious it will be.

No bake

No-Bake Strawberry Cheesecake

Let's take a look at another recipe – no-bake strawberry cheesecake with a photo of the finished, delicious dessert.

For the first layer – the base – we need:

  • 200 g cookies
  • 60 g butter

The second layer consists of the following ingredients:

  • 300 g cream cheese (for example, Philadelphia or Mascarpone)
  • white chocolate bar (100 g)
  • 1 cup sour cream (homemade is tastier)
  • 250 g strawberries (frozen is also fine)

The recipe is the same: crush the cookies (by hand or in a blender) and mix them with melted butter (the butter can be softened quickly in a double boiler or microwave). Transfer this mixture to a springform pan, spread it evenly, and press it down.

Then beat the cheese and sour cream until thick, then add chopped strawberries and melted chocolate. Pour the mixture over the base and refrigerate for at least four hours. You can see this finished miracle dessert in the photo.

We wish you good mood and bon appétit.
