Apple Soufflé "Dreams of Summer"
Content
I offer a simple and very pleasant recipe for apple soufflé that will lift the spirits of your family and friends. This healthy and low-calorie dish can be served even to small children.
Apple soufflé "from the heart"
This dessert is rightfully considered a summer treat and very light. Its recipe is incredibly simple, and the serving options are varied, making it appealing to both adults and children. Incidentally, this recipe can be used as a filling for a cake or pie.
To prepare this we will need the following ingredients:
- 6 egg yolks;
- 400 milliliters of cream;
- 200 milliliters of milk;
- 20 grams of gelatin;
- 4 apples;
- 1 medium lime;
- 150 grams of sugar.
Note that the ingredients are practically free of anything harmful to your figure. The most "questionable" component is sugar, but it's in negligible amounts. The amounts above are calculated for three to four servings, meaning you'll consume no more than fifty grams. That's two tablespoons of sugar, which is negligible for a dessert. So feel free to enjoy this treat for breakfast or lunch; it won't affect your waistline.
So, here's the recipe:
- Wash the apples, peel and core them. Cut them into slices and freeze for 10 minutes. To prevent them from browning, sprinkle them with lime juice.
- Next, you need to dissolve the gelatin in fifty milliliters of cold water.
- Then add half the sugar, pour the cream and milk into a saucepan, and heat on the stove. Bring almost to a boil, but do not let it boil.
- The second half of the sugar is beaten with the yolks until fluffy. The recipe calls for lightness and smoothness, so the better the ingredients are combined, the fluffier and more delicious the dessert will be.
- Add the yolks to the milk mixture, along with the gelatin. Cook the creamy mixture for about five more minutes.
- The recipe can be adjusted to suit your preferences. For example, if you prefer a more tart soufflé, you can blend the apples with lime (half a lime will suffice for this amount). However, if you prefer something sweet, you can skip this idea. It's best to use a blender to ensure the mixture is as fine and smooth as possible.
- The remaining half of the cream is whipped until fluffy, then all three mixtures are poured into one large or several small molds. Our recipe is called "from the heart," so we chose deep, heart-shaped silicone molds.
- Place in the refrigerator until set.
A little about the presentation
Soufflé recipes can be based on a variety of fruits. Apple, in particular, pairs well with lime, kiwi, orange, pear, grapes, and many other fruits. It's best to garnish the dessert with a contrasting fruit that will add a special touch. For example, a slice of kiwi or grape will add a pleasant tartness.
The dish can be garnished with a sprig of mint, a grated cinnamon stick, or a delicate scoop of ice cream. For example, a great option is to serve our heart with ice cream and caramel topping.
There's a more festive option. If you're making more than nine servings, you can arrange them in a circle on a mint "bed." Drizzling the dish itself isn't necessary, but you can decorate the dessert plates. It will look beautiful, stylish, and tasteful.
For children, you can make a heart with eyes and a mouth. The eyes can be grapes or raisins, and the mouth can be carefully cut out of a peach or banana slice.
Another serving option is to drizzle the soufflé with melted chocolate. This can be either a bar of dark or white chocolate, melted in a double boiler with a carton of medium-fat cream. With practice and skill, you can create a neat chocolate crust over the dessert rather than just drizzling it. While the chocolate is still soft, you can place a coffee bean on each heart.
