In this collection, we'll talk about desserts, and you can choose your own signature dessert and recipe using melon—this juicy, aromatic, and delicious fruit. From it you can prepare a variety of different and very original desserts for every occasion.

We love a ripe and aromatic melon for its unique flavor. It's also very healthy, containing ascorbic acid and folate (vitamin B9). It's important to remember that B9 is destroyed by heat, so expectant mothers are better off eating melon raw. Vitamin B9 can help you overcome low moods and depression, and improve your memory. Vitamin C strengthens your immune system, which is especially beneficial in winter. Beta-carotene in melon is beneficial for your skin, hair, and nails. Silicon is essential for the nervous system, skin, and hair.

Another benefit of this fruit is its low calorie content, making it a dietary product. Therefore, it's very beneficial to make a variety of smoothies (juice with pulp), such as the one pictured. You can add mint, lime, lemon, honey, raspberries, celery, banana, kefir, yogurt, passion fruit, cucumber, orange, or chocolate syrup to the melon. Melon dessert is the healthiest dessert. We'll give you a recipe for the perfect occasion.

Melon Ice Cream Cake

Melon Ice Cream Cake

Melon cake recipe. For the base, you'll need:

  • Vanilla crackers or cookies – 300g.
  • Butter – 150 gr.
  • Chocolate - 150 gr.
  • Cognac (brandy) - 1 tbsp.
  • For the cream:
  • Fresh melon - 1 kg.
  • Condensed milk - 400 g (1 can)
  • Cream 33% - 500 ml

For decoration, add apricot or orange jam.

This melon dessert is especially beautiful and perfect for a special occasion. And the recipe isn't all that complicated.

First, crush any breadcrumbs or cookies you have on hand into crumbs, using a blender if you prefer. Add softened butter and mix with a fork until you have a smooth, buttery consistency. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler (real chocolate will melt at 31°C). Add a tablespoon of cognac, stir, and let cool.

Then pour the melted chocolate over the crumbs and mix thoroughly. That's it, our cake batter is ready. A little tip: it's best to cover the cake batter with plastic wrap to prevent it from drying out.

Let's move on to the cream. We need to peel and core the melon and puree the pulp. Add the condensed milk to the puree and beat with a mixer at medium speed.

Now let's move on to the cream. It will whip well if you put the bowl and beaters in the freezer for a while. Of course, we use cold cream for this; there are special cream thickening powders, but if you don't have one, no problem. Then carefully fold the whipped cream into the whipped mixture with the condensed milk. Our custard is ready.

Next, we'll need a springform pan. Line it with clear film, spread the dough on the bottom, and lift the edges up to the sides. Pour the mixture over the dough and cover with a lid or film. Then, place the cake in the freezer for about 4 hours, or preferably overnight.

Before serving, remove the dessert from the mold. Before slicing, let the ice cream sit out of the freezer for about 15 minutes. It's easier to cut with a hot knife dipped in boiling water. Serve with apricot or orange jam, as pictured.

Grilled melon

Recipe:

  • Cantaloupe - 1 pc.
  • Butter - 50 gr.
  • Honey - half a glass
  • Mint leaves – 0.3 cups

This recipe is perfect for a picnic, though it's more suited to the outdoors, as it requires a grill or barbecue. It's very simple.

Preheat the grill. Cut the melon into pieces and thread them onto wooden skewers. In a saucepan, combine the butter and honey and melt the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly. After removing from the heat, add finely chopped mint; it will add a unique aroma and flavor to our dish.

Dip the melon slices in the oil mixture and place them on the grill. Grill for 4-6 minutes on each side. Transfer the slices to a plate. Serve with the remaining honey-mint sauce. The photo shows a serving example.

Fruit Slices Dessert Recipe

Fruit slices with melon

  • Melon – 1 pc.
  • Green seedless grapes – 250g.
  • Freshly squeezed cherry juice – 250 ml.
  • Gelatin - 1 tbsp. (18g.) or agar-agar – 2 tsp.
  • Water – 120 ml.
  • Sugar – 60g.

This recipe originated in Turkey and is perfect for refreshing on a hot, sunny day. This recipe is based on a medium-sized berry. This dessert is also perfect for your holiday table.

Wash the melon. Cut off the top so you can pour the jelly into it. Use a spoon to remove the seeds and scrape out some of the pulp, as shown in the photo. You can use the fruit with or without the peel.

Wash and dry the grapes and fill the berries with them. Take the gelatin, previously soaked in cold water for 40 minutes, add sugar, and heat in a double boiler until completely dissolved. Be careful not to let it boil, otherwise the gelatin will lose its gelling properties.

Rinse the cherries and squeeze out the juice, add the gelatin and sugar, and strain. Now pour the cherry jelly over the grapes and refrigerate until completely set, about 10 hours. Then cut into triangles as shown in the photo.

Our dessert is ready! Enjoy!
