It's no exaggeration to say that every culture has its own recipe (and more than one!) for preparing these fruits. They are enjoyed raw, fried, baked in batter, and even dried. We're interested in a very special recipe that reveals the secrets of making a delicious banana pie. That's what we'll talk about.
Banana Joy
The photo shows in all its glory a delicious and very tender (thanks to the sour cream) pie, one of whose ingredients is bananas. This beauty is easily baked in the oven.
If there are at least a couple of yellow fruits left from the bunch you brought, everything is fine—the pie will be a success. So, in addition to bananas, you'll need:
- a full glass of sour cream;
- a quarter of a pack of margarine (or butter);
- a couple of eggs;
- 1 – 1.5 cups of sugar;
- 2 cups flour;
- 1 teaspoon each of soda and baking powder;
- 1/3 vanilla pod;
- ¼ tsp salt.
The recipe for making banana joy is:
- Mash the bananas into a puree. Immediately mix with sour cream and set aside for now.
- Place the softened margarine and sugar in another bowl and beat thoroughly with a mixer. The recipe recommends adding the eggs one at a time: this will make it easier to achieve a smooth mixture.
- It's time to remember the bananas—it's time to add them to the batter along with the vanilla. And the final touch: stir together the baking soda, flour, salt, and baking powder and combine them with the banana mixture.
- The pie is baked in the oven at a standard temperature of 180 0This will take approximately 50 minutes.
But don't rely on the recipe blindly—it's best to check for doneness using the tried-and-true method (a wooden toothpick). If it comes out clean in the center, the banana delight is ready. It's a shame the photo can't capture the divine aroma emanating from this delicacy!
Banana Flip-Flop
Another simple banana pie recipe can become a staple at home. It looks quite exotic in the photo, but the ingredients required are anything but exotic (except, of course, the bananas—you'll need four):
- 250 g each of flour and butter;
- milk - 100 ml;
- a full glass of sugar (ideally brown);
- 4 eggs;
- a pinch of salt (it always enhances the flavor).
Step-by-step recipe:
- Take a silicone mold—it's the most convenient for making upside-down banana cakes. Cut two bananas into strips and line the bottom of the mold with them. Sprinkle them with a tablespoon of sugar and scatter a few pieces of butter (about 15 grams) randomly over them.
- Beat the room temperature butter with the sugar. Pour in the milk, add the eggs, and beat thoroughly again.
- Cut the remaining bananas into slices directly into the mixture and add flour and salt there.
- Pour the prepared batter over the banana strips. Place the pan in a preheated oven at 185°C. 0 oven for 50–55 minutes.
Let the pie cool, then take a nice plate and carefully invert it onto it. If done correctly, the pie will turn out as beautiful as the photo. And you can be sure of its deliciousness!
