The taste of muffins that you can buy at McDonald's is certainly unique in its own way. But you can also make these cupcakes at home. The recipe is simple, the prep time is short, and the result will make even the most ardent fan of store-bought desserts sigh with delight.

Chocolate muffins like from McDonald's

Ingredients:

  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Flour – 250 gr.
  • Sugar – 100 gr.
  • Vegetable oil – 170 ml (should be odorless)
  • Dark chocolate – 100 gr.
  • Cocoa powder – 3 tablespoons
  • Vanillin - 1 packet
  • Baking powder 1.5 packets or 1 heaped tablespoon.

Chocolate muffins from McDonald's

Recipe:

  1. Set the oven temperature to 200 degrees and leave to preheat.
  2. Prepare the pan by greasing it with oil or using paper liners.
  3. Sift the flour, then mix it with cocoa powder, baking powder and vanilla.
  4. Break the chocolate bar into small pieces and mix with the remaining dry ingredients.
  5. Beat eggs and sugar until soft peaks form (the sugar should dissolve).
  6. Add vegetable oil to the sugar-egg mixture and mix until smooth.
  7. After this, mix the liquid and dry ingredients, being careful not to create lumps. If the dough is too thick, you can add a little hot boiled water and bring it to the desired consistency.
  8. Pour the mixture into the muffin cups. To give our muffins a McDonald's-style look, fill them to within 3 mm of the top. This will give the muffins a "crown," similar to desserts from fast-food restaurants.
  9. Immediately place the pan in the oven for 20 minutes. Be sure to check the muffin a few minutes before it's done using a match or toothpick—if you carefully pierce the muffin, there shouldn't be any traces of batter on the matchstick.
  10. Once you're sure the muffins are done, turn off the oven, but don't rush to take them out, as the fluffy muffins may collapse. Simply crack the oven door a couple of centimeters to allow them to cool gradually. Remove the muffins once the oven has cooled at least halfway, or preferably completely.

This recipe uses almost all the ingredients found in McDonald's muffins, minus the additives and flavorings. It's absolutely delicious!

The second recipe is for another muffin that can now be found at any McDonald's. It's blackcurrant muffins. Let's try making these ourselves!

Blackcurrant muffins

Blackcurrant muffins

Ingredients:

  • Eggs - 3 pcs.
  • Flour – 450 gr.
  • Kefir or yogurt – 200 ml.
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tablespoons.
  • Sugar – 130g.
  • Vanillin - 2 sachets.
  • Baking powder – 2 teaspoons.
  • Black currant – 250 gr.

Recipe for making dessert:

  1. Turn the oven on to 190 degrees and grease the muffin tin with vegetable oil, or use paper liners.
  2. Mix eggs, kefir and vegetable oil until smooth.
  3. Mix baking powder, vanilla, sugar and sifted flour in a separate bowl.
  4. Carefully add the black currants (defrosted first if you decide to use frozen berries) to the flour mixture and mix.
  5. Now mix the dry and wet ingredients. Don't worry if there are any lumps left—they'll disperse during baking.
  6. We spread the resulting dough, just a little short of reaching the edge of the pan.
  7. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes. As with other recipes, check the muffins' doneness with a toothpick or matchstick just before the end of the baking time.
  8. After the cupcakes are baked, keep them in the turned off oven for a little while longer, with the door slightly open.

That's it! Thanks to the kefir included in the recipe, these muffins are even more tender than the ones at McDonald's. Now all that's left is to enjoy their divine taste!
