A simple muffin recipe: made in a slow cooker
Multi-cooker muffins offer a multitude of advantages: they're much easier to prepare, take less time, the dough is light and tender, and they're also much more nutritious than those baked in the oven. And we will be happy to tell you how to cook them.
Chocolate version
So, to make chocolate muffins in a slow cooker, we will need:
- 3 egg whites;
- Half a glass of sugar;
- A pinch of vanillin;
- Half a glass of flour;
- A pinch of salt;
- 1 tablespoon cocoa.
First, we need to "sort out" the eggs. If you already have the whites refrigerated, great. If not, you'll need to separate them from the yolks. I'll say right away that it's best to take the eggs straight from the refrigerator and use them immediately: they're easier to work with that way. So, we've separated the whites. Now take a mixer and start beating them at low speed, adding a little salt. When the whites have turned white, slowly whisk in the sugar, continuing to beat at high speed. You can also use the highest speed. You should end up with firm, dense white peaks. Set them aside while you sift them.
We sift all the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa, and vanilla. Sifting will give your dough an incredibly airy texture, as the dry ingredients are well-oxygenated. Once everything is sifted, we mix the dry ingredients together, and then fold the flour, cocoa, and vanilla into the whipped egg whites. Do this very carefully, so as not to ruin the lightness of the egg whites.
So, our batter is ready for further processing. Take the muffin tins and pour it in. Fill them about halfway, as the muffins will rise considerably in the slow cooker. Set the slow cooker to the "Bake" setting. Cooking time will vary depending on the model of your "miracle pot." On average, it's 40 minutes. However, it's best to check the muffins' doneness with a wooden toothpick after half an hour.
That's it: the muffins are ready to eat. Serve this dessert. This recipe makes our homemade baked goods delicious and, most importantly, low-calorie.
Bon appetit!
