Corn stick cakes and pastries
Content
Bags of corn puffs capture our children's attention just as they once captured ours as children. Even today, many of us enjoy crunching on a mountain of these incredibly delicious treats. But satiety soon sets in, and sometimes another half-pack of corn sticks gets tossed onto the kitchen shelf, meekly awaiting its time to be eaten. However, you can make an unusual dessert with them, and today you'll learn how.
Chocolate chak-chak with toffee
Ingredients:
- A packet of corn sticks – 200-300 g.
- Medium-hard toffee – 400 g (“Kis-Kis” or similar).
- Dark chocolate – 80-100g (1 bar).
- Butter – 100 g (from 72.5%, natural).
Recipe:
- Place the diced butter, toffee, and broken chocolate into pieces in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. If you don't have a heavy-bottomed saucepan, it's best to use a double boiler.
- Place the saucepan over low heat or a double boiler. Stir constantly until the butter and chocolate melt and the toffee dissolves.
- Once the mixture has become homogeneous, turn off the heat and stir for another couple of minutes to allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- We take the sticks out of the bag and place them in a large bowl.
- Pour the resulting mixture over the sticks and stir quickly and thoroughly so that the mixture is distributed over all the sticks.
- Immediately place the sticks on a plate in the form of a slide or form several spherical cakes out of them.
- Place the resulting dessert in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
This dessert is actually incredibly easy to make. But it's not the only recipe that uses this crispy treat. Another recipe is also easy, but the resulting dessert will taste and look completely different from the previous recipe.
Crispy sweet balls
Ingredients
- Corn sticks – 150 gr.
- Butter – 100 gr.
- Condensed milk - 1 can.
- Honey (liquid) – half a tablespoon.
- Coconut flakes or cookies for sprinkling.
Recipe:
- Crush the sticks into medium-sized crumbs.
- Add condensed milk and honey and stir.
- The next step is to add soft butter and mix the mixture until smooth.
- From the resulting mass, roll balls the size of a walnut, then roll each one in crushed cookies or coconut flakes.
- Place the resulting sweets on a plate and put them in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to set.
A simple and delicious dessert is ready! If desired, you can replace the condensed milk with boiled condensed milk, and the butter with coconut cream mixed with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
