Curd "Houses" made from cookies
Content
"Curd House" is a no-bake cake that even a child can make. It might seem like nothing special—a few cookies and some cream cheese frosting. But believe me, it's hard to find a better dessert for morning tea. And most importantly, this cottage cheese dessert makes a filling and healthy breakfast for the whole family. This delicious and healthy dessert can be made in just half an hour. All you need is some cottage cheese, shortbread cookies, and a good "grandmother's" recipe.
Curd house with glaze
What could be more fun and interesting than making a delicious cake from ordinary cookies? This activity can, and even should, involve children, as nothing hot or sharp is involved, and playing with sweets and building an edible house is the best fun for kids.
So, let's start with a simple recipe and make a traditional cake using shortbread cookies and rich, homemade cottage cheese. Ingredients for the cake:
- square shortbread cookies - 24 pcs
- fatty (not grainy) cottage cheese - 500 g
- homemade sour cream - 6 tbsp
- sugar - 120 g
- vanilla
- raisins - 100 g
- milk - 100 ml
- chocolate bar - 100 g
- butter - 70 g
First, let's prepare a cream with a mild vanilla flavor. Place the cottage cheese, sour cream, and sugar in a blender (if you don't have a blender, use a regular potato masher). If the mixture is too dry, the recipe calls for adding a little milk. Beat the ingredients until fluffy.
Line a baking sheet with plastic wrap or parchment paper. Dip each cookie in milk and arrange them on the sheet. You should have 3 rows of 8 cookies each.
Top with a layer of curd cream mixed with raisins. Then, carefully use cling film to form a triangle. This will create a fragrant curd mousse nestled between the cookie walls. Refrigerate the mixture.
Prepare the icing for the cake. Break the chocolate bar into pieces, place them in a bowl, and place them in a double boiler. Add the butter. Once the icing is smooth, the recipe recommends letting it sit for another 5-10 seconds and then removing it from the stove. Pour the mixture over the cake house, covering all sides. Place the cake in the refrigerator to set.
Colored cake with cottage cheese
This colorful house made of cookies and cottage cheese is the same traditional recipe, only slightly more interesting in appearance and taste. You'll need:
- square cookies - 18 pcs
- fatty (not grainy) cottage cheese - 400 g
- homemade sour cream - 5 tbsp
- sugar - 100 g
- condensed milk - 100 g
- vanilla
- dried apricots - 100 g
- coconut flakes - 5 tbsp
- cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
- dark chocolate - 50 g
- milk - 100 ml
- chocolate bar - 100 g
- butter - 70 g
We'll use the previous recipe as the basis for this dessert. That is, we'll prepare the curd cream in the same way: using a blender, beat the homemade curd with sugar and sour cream. Next, divide the mousse into two equal parts. Add cocoa powder and grated chocolate (50 g) to one, and vanilla, dried apricots, and 2 tablespoons of coconut to the other.
Next, build a house on the plastic wrap. Soak the cookies in milk and arrange them on the plastic wrap in three rows of three cookies. Top them with condensed milk and vanilla cream. Add another layer of soaked cookies, then spread chocolate cream on top. Then, shape the house into a triangle with your hands and refrigerate to set.
The glaze is quick and easy to make: melt a bar of chocolate with butter in a double boiler. Drizzle the mixture over the dessert and sprinkle with coconut flakes. Cool, cut into small triangles, and serve with tea or cocoa.
