Do you remember your childhood? A trip to the sweets stand often ended with your hands unwrapping the foil and pulling out a delicious creamy sausage. The years have flown by, this dessert has become etched in my memory, and now you have the opportunity to make it for your children. A simple recipe, a delicious cake, and a sea of positive memories.

Sweet sausage

The dessert contains:

  • 300 grams of shortbread cookies;
  • 200 grams of butter;
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • About 40 grams of cocoa;
  • 5 tablespoons of medium-fat milk or cream;
  • 1 cup of walnuts.

Sausage pastry is quite easy to make. This recipe doesn't require any special culinary skills, and this "sausage" is quick and easy to prepare. First, crush half of the shortbread cookies in a blender. Pour the resulting powder into a bowl. Break the remaining cookies into small pieces.

The cake has a strong nutty flavor. To capture this "childish" taste, the walnuts should be chopped into medium-sized pieces. The recipe also includes the option of toasting the nuts in a dry frying pan for a more savory flavor. The cookies and nuts are mixed together.

A piece of chocolate sausage

Grind the cocoa powder with sugar, add milk/cream to the powder, and mix thoroughly. Bring the mixture to a boil over low heat. Stir the cocoa and milk throughout the process.

The cake is quite soft, so to give it a more delicate flavor, butter (cut into cubes is best) is added to the still-warm mixture. The resulting chocolate mixture is stirred until smooth.

Time for the cookies. Slowly fold the crushed cookies and nuts into the bowl with the chocolate "cream." Add gradually to avoid making the mixture too thick or lumpy. The result should be a thick, sticky chocolate mixture.

The authentic recipe does not include chocolate, but to give it a sharper flavor, you can add fifty grams of chocolate melted in a water bath or a few spoons of boiled condensed milk to the mixture.

How do you make sausage? Spread buttered foil on the table, then spread some of the chocolate mixture with cookies on it. Wrap the cake, shape it into the desired shape, and the sausage is ready! All that's left is to refrigerate it until it sets. You can serve the cake whole or cut it into pieces.

Chocolate sausage "Krakowska"

Chocolate sausage

This recipe has a unique appearance: the sausage resembles the real thing. Children love this dessert, and adults rarely refuse this unusual treat. It's also made with cookies, but both the ingredients and the final appearance are significantly different.

To prepare you will need:

  • 400 grams of shortbread cookies;
  • 200 grams of butter or margarine;
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • 1 whole egg;
  • 3 tablespoons of milk;
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder;
  • Any chopped nuts (about 100 grams).

It all starts with the cookies. They need to be crushed using any method (meat grinder, meat mallet, etc.). The crumbs are mixed with nuts. Then, one whole egg is thoroughly beaten and poured into the nut-and-cookie mixture.

Next, place the margarine (butter) on the stove, along with 3 tablespoons of milk and 3 tablespoons of cocoa, and bring to a boil. After the mixture has cooled slightly (!), pour it into the cookies and mix thoroughly.

Lay out some cling film on the table and place the "dough" on it. Wrap it up, forming a sausage shape. Afterward, you can wrap the dish in foil and place it in the freezer for a few hours.

You can add white chocolate chips to the recipe, which will create fake "fat" in the sausage and make it even more realistic. You can also reduce the sugar and replace it with boiled condensed milk if desired. Serving can also vary. Incidentally, this dessert is perfect for taking on the go. For example, you could wrap it up for your child to take to school. Enjoy!
