Apricot desserts - pudding and pie
The word "pudding" undoubtedly conjures up images of prim English tea parties. While the dish by this name may have originated in the Old English quarters, apricot pudding is truly a multicultural dish. With minor variations in recipe and preparation methods, this apricot dessert is prepared everywhere.
Ingredients for classic Apricot pie
- fresh apricots (10 pcs) or canned (800 g),
- butter (130 g),
- flour (150 g),
- chicken eggs (2 pcs),
- sugar (200 g),
- baking powder,
- vanillin.
Cooking process
First, you should preheat the oven to a temperature of no more than 1600The second step is to prepare the syrup. Take 40 grams of water (about 4 full tablespoons) and dissolve the same amount of sugar in it. Then immerse all the apricots in this mixture. Place this fragrant fruit mixture on the stove and simmer over medium heat for no more than 5 minutes. The apricots should soften. After this, place the fruit in a pan greased with oil.
The third step is to cream the butter and sugar together. Beat the eggs separately with a mixer until foamy. Then, combine the flour, vanilla sugar, and baking powder, then combine with the butter and sugar mixture, then add the egg whites. Mix the resulting mixture thoroughly, immediately pour it over the apricots, and bake immediately.
From this point on, the dessert will take no more than half an hour to be fully baked. You can increase the baking time by 15 minutes for a drier, more crumbly cake.
