You can make pastila in a dehydrator, an electric dehydrator, and an oven. These methods differ in the time required to create the dessert. However, using each of them, you're sure to create a fragrant and delicious treat in your own kitchen that's sure to impress.
I often make pastila at home. It can be made not only from oranges and apples, but also from other fruits and berries. Are you intrigued by all the intricacies of making this delicacy? Then gather the necessary ingredients and start making aromatic pastila with me!
-
Applesauce300 G
-
Orange2 pcs
-
Orange zest1 tsp
-
Honey1 tsp
Take the oranges. Wash and peel them. Squeeze the juice. Then strain the resulting juice through a sieve. This removes all the pulp, and the resulting pastila is bitter-free.
Combine all ingredients together, mixing thoroughly.
Pour the resulting mixture onto a dehydrator sheet and smooth it out.
Place the marshmallow in a dehydrator and leave it there to dry for 14 hours at a temperature of 45 degrees.
We take the pastila out of the dehydrator.
Cut the pastila into triangles and shape them into beautiful tubes. This delicious dessert is ready!
- If you want to make a pastila with a more pronounced orange flavor, add a little orange puree to it.
- To make the dessert sweeter, I recommend using more honey. If desired, you can substitute it with sugar, molasses, maple syrup, or other sweeteners.
- You can also bake pastila in the oven. This will reduce the overall preparation time. However, I still recommend baking pastila in a dehydrator or electric dehydrator, as this will preserve the maximum amount of vitamins and beneficial nutrients.
- The drying time for pastila depends not only on the specific appliance but also on the thickness of the layer. Therefore, if you want to prepare this dessert faster, make the pastila layer no thicker than 5 mm.
