This eggless kefir sponge cake is rightfully considered one of the simplest and quickest recipes for delicious baked goods. The finished cake is very tender and fluffy. It's sure to please both adults and children.

Pour sugar into a separate deep container.
Add semolina.
Pour in kefir.
Add vegetable oil.
Mix the resulting mixture thoroughly until smooth. You can do this with a mixer at the lowest speed, a regular spoon, a spatula, or a whisk.
Mix flour with baking powder and sift into the liquid mixture.
Mix thoroughly until a homogeneous thick mass is obtained.
Leave the mixture for 15 minutes.
Spread the prepared dough evenly in a baking pan. Line the pan with parchment paper and grease it with butter.
Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 40-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the finished cake cool and remove from the pan. The sponge cake is not very sweet, so you can dust it with powdered sugar before serving.
