Take sugar and add cornstarch. Mix everything thoroughly.
Rinse the blueberries under plenty of water and pour into a bowl.
Add the resulting mixture of starch and sugar to the berries and mix well.
Place the berries in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and place on the stove over low heat. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to prevent the blueberries from burning or sticking to the sides.
After boiling, cook the jam for two minutes.
Turn off the stove and remove the saucepan from the heat. Pour the hot jam into the prepared container and let it cool at room temperature.
Once the jam has cooled to room temperature, place it in the refrigerator and let it sit for 3 hours. After this time, the jam will have completely thickened and can be used as a filling for cakes or simply as a standalone dessert.
