Prepare dry ingredients for the dough.
In a deep bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, soda and baking powder.
Add soft butter, vanilla extract, egg whites, sour cream to the dry ingredient mixture and mix thoroughly.
When the dough becomes homogeneous, add food coloring to it.
Mix the mixture well again.
Divide the dough into three equal parts. Pour each into a prepared pan.

Bake each layer for 25-30 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius. Check for doneness with a wooden skewer. After baking, let the layers cool thoroughly.

Beat the ingredients with a mixer until smooth.
Cut out the middle of the cooled cakes.
