Dip a raw egg into water.

Dip in onion peel.

Cut the cheesecloth into small squares. You can also use regular wet wipes or nylon tights. Place them on the cheesecloth. Form a pouch around the egg. Tie the cheesecloth with thread or a rubber band. Trim the ends.

Place raw eggs in a saucepan.

Cover the eggs with water. Add the green stuff. Bring to the boil. Cook until boiling. Leave in the hot water for another 15-20 minutes.

Remove the gauze from the finished eggs and clean off any remaining skins in cold water.
