A blender alone may not be enough to make citrus puree. Orange peels are too dense and can be difficult to blend, especially if the equipment is not very powerful. A regular meat grinder can simplify the task. It will quickly turn any citrus into a smooth, finely ground pulp.
The recipe for gooseberry puree with sugar and orange used black gooseberries. But this combination can be used with other varieties as well. The light green puree with orange highlights will look even more interesting.

Wash the gooseberries beforehand, drain them in a colander, and then dry them on a kitchen towel. Then, remove the leaves and stems from both sides.
Wash the oranges thoroughly with a clean sponge and dry them with a towel. Cut each citrus into segments and remove all the seeds.
We pass the gooseberries through a meat grinder or chop them in a blender, if it is powerful enough and can withstand heavy loads.
Similarly, grind the oranges together with the peel into the same pan.
Pour in all the sugar at once. To ensure there's room for everything, choose a saucepan large enough to comfortably accommodate the mixture. Stir with a spoon or spatula until smooth. Let it sit for a couple of minutes, allowing the sugar to dissolve and combine with the fruit and berry juices.
Now we distribute the resulting puree into disposable containers intended for cold storage.
The gooseberry-orange preserve is ready. Cover the containers with lids or freeze them uncovered overnight. Then, seal them with plastic bags and store them more compactly in the freezer drawer.
