Caramel prepared according to this recipe makes a great addition to the famous Snickers cake. It's also a delightful treat on its own. The nuts enhance the caramel's flavor, making it less cloying. And the salt adds a unique, interesting twist.

Pour sugar into a saucepan with a thick bottom.
Add water to the sugar and place the saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Do not stir.
After a while, the sugar will begin to boil, but you still must not stir it.
When the syrup becomes a beautiful amber color, turn off the heat.
Add butter to the saucepan and stir it.
Once the mixture has become homogeneous, gradually pour in the cream heated to 90 degrees and stir vigorously.
When the caramel has calmed down, add salt.
Boil the caramel for a minute and remove from heat.
Place the shelled peanuts on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
We take out the peanuts and add them to the caramel.
Mix everything thoroughly.
The finished treat can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 14 days if you plan to use it later.
