Jam of apples and small pears

Clear and iridescent, this jam will whet your appetite and won't disappoint on your first try. Even looking at it is a pleasure. Thanks to the way the fruit is prepared, the apples will soften, giving the jam a light texture, while the pear pieces will remain whole and marmalade-like.

Jam of apples and small pears
Ingredients
Servings
  • Apple juice
    800 ml
  • Pear
    200 G
  • Sugar

  • Vanilla sugar

  • Zhelfix

Preparation

Step 1

Peel the washed pears, cut into small cubes and sprinkle with vanilla sugar.

Step 2

Mix the Zhelfix with beet sugar until smooth. Place the fruit in a saucepan, pour in the juice, and stir. Cook, maintaining a simmer for 3 minutes over low heat. Skim off any foam that forms on the surface to prevent it from darkening the liquid.

Step 3

The apple and small pear jam is ready. Pour it hot into sterilized jars and seal. Turn them periodically as the jelly sets.

To make the jam truly jelly-like, you can use a little trick in this recipe. Simply dice the pears and grate the apples, adding them as freshly squeezed juice through cheesecloth. But if you don't want such a clear jam, you can also add grated apples, which will add a special touch.
