A simple and quick recipe for classic blackcurrant muffins. Minimal ingredients, maximum flavor—the secret to perfect berry muffins. You can use either fresh or frozen currants—the flavor will be equally vibrant and rich.

Mix flour, granulated sugar, vanilla sugar and baking powder.
Separately, beat the egg and milk with a whisk.
Pour the milk and egg mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir.
Pour in the melted butter.
Dredge the currants in a small amount of flour. Add the berries to the dough and mix gently.
For the crumble mixture, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and butter. Mix thoroughly. Rub with your fingers.
Place the dough into the moulds, filling them half full.
Decorate the muffin tops with the streusel crumbs prepared in step 6.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes. The muffins are ready.
