Classic raspberry sorbet boasts a unique sweet and sour flavor and a pleasant lemon aroma. The combination is truly worth trying at least once. What's more, the recipe is quite simple, requiring only a minimal number of ingredients.

Prepare the sugar syrup. Pour water into a saucepan and add sugar.
Add lemon zest.
Mix the ingredients. Place the saucepan on the heat. Bring to a boil and until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Cool the resulting syrup. Strain through a sieve to remove the zest.
Pour fresh raspberries into the blender bowl.
Pour in the sugar syrup.
Beat the mixture until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a clean container.
Add freshly squeezed lemon juice to taste. Stir.
Place the mixture in the freezer. Stir every 50-60 minutes for 5 hours. Depending on the freezer temperature, this process can take up to 7 hours. Cool until the consistency of soft ice cream.
Form the sorbet into balls. Place in a dessert bowl. Garnish with a sprig of mint, if desired. Serve.
