If you don't have any cream at home, you can easily make caramel with milk. This treat will taste just like the classic recipe. To make caramel sauce, you only need four ingredients. The result is a great syrup for coffee, ice cream, pancakes, and syrniki. What's more, this caramel can be eaten on its own, simply with tea.
-
Flour1 tsp
-
Sugar100 G
-
Milk120 ml
-
Butter30 G
Pour flour into a heated dry frying pan and stir constantly until golden brown.
The flour should not burn, otherwise the caramel will turn out bitter.
Add sugar to the fried flour and stir a little.
Immediately add butter to the sugar.
As the butter melts, stir it in with the sugar.
Stir the caramel constantly. As the sugar melts, the caramel will darken in color.
Bring the milk to a boil in a separate container. Once the sugar has completely dissolved, gradually pour in the hot milk, little by little, and stir.
After adding all the milk, keep the caramel on the heat for another 15-20 seconds, stirring constantly.
Pour the resulting caramel sauce into another bowl.
Let the caramel cool at room temperature for a couple of hours.
Next, cover the container with a lid or cling film and after 12 hours it will become thicker and more viscous.
