We have already prepared it together classic brownie, and today we’ll prepare no less delicious cookies.
It's a known fact that brownie cookies were first made in America over 100 years ago, but that first recipe didn't contain any cocoa powder or chocolate. Fannie Farmer's brownie recipe lists no ingredients other than pecans, molasses, sugar, butter, eggs, and flour.
After cocoa and chocolate became widespread and became one of the most beloved sweets of Americans, they began to be added to "brownies", obtaining an even brighter, rich chocolate flavor.
This treat is incredibly quick to prepare—the entire process, from mixing the dough to baking, takes no more than 25 minutes. The ingredients listed will make approximately 15-20 cookies (depending on the size of the cookies you place on the baking sheet).

In a saucepan with a thick bottom, place 100 grams of dark chocolate (it is better to break the bar and melt it into pieces) and 25 grams of butter.
Melt the chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly, until you get a homogeneous mass, as in the photo.
You can heat it:
- on the stove (if you have a saucepan with a thick bottom);
- in a water bath (this way the chocolate will definitely not burn);
- in the microwave (in this case, use non-metallic utensils).
Set the finished chocolate mass aside and let it cool slightly while we prepare the dough.
In a bowl for preparing the dough, mix 80 grams of sifted flour, 0.5 teaspoon of baking powder (this is about 3 grams) and a pinch of salt.
In a separate container, mix 1 egg (white + yolk) and 80 grams of sugar (you can use regular or brown).
Beat with a mixer for about 3-4 minutes until a fluffy foam forms, as in the photo.
Add the cooled chocolate mass to the beaten egg and mix with a spatula until smooth.
Add the dry mixture prepared in step 3 (flour + baking powder + salt) and mix thoroughly to form a soft, elastic chocolate dough.
Using a teaspoon and spatula, place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
The baked goods cook very quickly and it is important not to overcook the cookies in the oven.
Hot from the oven, the cookies will be soft and tender, and a delicious crispy crust will form as they cool. Therefore, after removing them from the oven, let them cool and fully set before removing them from the baking sheet.
The cookies turn out tender, as if with soft, slightly stretchy chocolate inside.
