Black chokeberry and apple jam
The jam's thick consistency is due to the special preparation method and the natural pectin found in the berries and fruits. The addition of apple slices softens the tartness of the chokeberry, making this healthy and aromatic jam even more delicious and mouth-watering.

Rinse the chokeberries, place them in a saucepan, and mash lightly with a potato masher. Add apple slices of any size, peeled and free of any excess. Check the weight of the fruit after peeling. Sprinkle with sugar, stir, and let the mixture rest for 30 minutes.
Place the pan over medium heat and stir frequently for the first 3 minutes. As the heat increases, juices will begin to release, so don't add any water. Cook until the apple slices are very soft, about 15 minutes.
Pass the mixture through a sieve to remove the juice. Puree the berry and fruit mixture using an immersion blender. Add a little juice as needed to ensure smooth blending.
Pass the puree through a sieve with a spoon to obtain an incredibly soft and smooth jam. Cook it over medium heat for 7 minutes after it comes to a boil.
The chokeberry and apple jam is ready. Place it in sterilized jars and seal for the winter.
