We cut the peeled and washed apples into slices and place them in a saucepan.
Sprinkle with sugar and shake until it begins to ooze. Leave in a warm place for 4 hours or in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours, depending on how much time you have available for cooking.
Place over medium heat and bring the juices to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 5-6 minutes, then turn off the burner.
We repeat the process one more time: wait until it boils and time the cooking time from the moment it reaches a boil. Cool to room temperature, without stirring.
We boil the slices so that they are maximally saturated with syrup, which will become thicker and begin to envelop them.
Let the jam cool completely in the container where it was cooked and only then place it in a bowl to serve with tea.
