Clear Apple Jam with Slices – A Quick Recipe

If you need to quickly prepare something for tea, you can quickly make jam using apple slices, taking just half an hour. The trick is to cook the apples as little as possible, but let the slices cool to room temperature each time.

Transparent jam made from apple slices

    250 G
  • Sugar
    200 G
  • Water
    50 ml
Preparation

Step 1

Remove the seeds and core from the apples and cut into slices of about 5-7 mm.

Step 2

Pour the sugar into a saucepan and immediately add the water. Turn the heat up and bring to a boil, then stir until the sugar dissolves.

Step 3

Add apples to the syrup and mix well with a wooden spatula until it is evenly distributed.

Step 4

Cover the saucepan with a lid, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat, remove the lid, and let the jam cool completely. Repeat this process 2-3 more times.

Step 5

We're cooking apple jam for the last time, cook under the lid for 5 minutes and turn off the burner.

Step 6

Transfer the jam into a bowl and serve as a dessert.

Storing quick jam
Contrary to popular belief, even "Five-Minute" jam can be preserved for the winter. Because of the short simmering time, it simply won't be as thick. And all bacteria will be killed during the first boiling. So, the preserves will definitely last for a year or two without showing any signs of spoilage.
