Transparent Apple Jam in Slices "Five Minutes"

Wash the apples, dry them on a kitchen towel, and cut them in half to remove the cores and stems. Cut them into slices about 1 cm thick and place them in a saucepan. Sprinkle with sugar, stir from the bottom up, and let them sit for 4-5 hours.
Add water and place over medium heat. Stir constantly until it comes to a boil.
Add vanilla and citric acid. Stir well and cook, maintaining a simmer, for about 5 minutes.
Place the jam into washed and dry jars and seal. No special preparation is required, as the hot syrup will sterilize them.
The "Five-Minute" apple jam is ready. Wrap the jars tightly in a blanket or terry towel. Leave them like this until they cool completely. Store at room temperature throughout the cold season.
