Answers to frequently asked questions

Why didn't the charlotte rise?

The base of a charlotte is sponge cake dough. It typically doesn't contain baking soda or powder, but the eggs need to be beaten until fluffy. Depending on the amount of dough, the mixture needs to be beaten for 5 to 20 minutes.

You need to mix the dough very carefully so that it does not settle.

During baking, do not open the oven door for the first 30 minutes to prevent air from damaging the delicate structure of the dough.

The main thing is to use quality products in cooking.

The apples are not baked completely - what to do?

If the apple variety is too hard, it is quite possible that such fruits will not bake well in the oven.

To make the apples softer, you can sauté them in a frying pan until they lighten slightly before baking.

If you didn't do this and the filling remains slightly raw, that's okay. As the charlotte cools, the apples will still be able to withstand the heat of the warm dough. After all, sometimes it's nice to have a slightly crunchy filling.

While fresh, and most importantly, natural fruit is still in season, be sure to make a pie with your favorite ingredients. Delight your family and friends with delicious homemade baked goods, and don't forget to rate the recipes—we'll create many more exciting things together!
