This dessert recipe doesn't require any special decoration. It's already very appealing without any additional decoration. Preparation

Step 1

Sift the flour into a deep bowl to remove all lumps. Add a pinch of salt and baking powder. Mix.

Step 2

Cut the cold butter into cubes. Add it to the dry ingredients and rub it into crumbs with your hands.

Step 3

Add sugar and egg to the mixture. Stir with a spatula.

Step 4

Pour the dough onto the prepared surface and form it into a ball. Place it in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Mix sugar, starch, vanilla sugar and egg in a saucepan using a whisk.

Step 6

Place the mixture over low heat, add cold milk, and simmer until thickened. It's important to whisk constantly to prevent the cream from burning.

Step 7

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into two unequal parts. Place the larger portion of the dough into the pan, lining it with the edges. It's best to do this with wet hands so the dough doesn't stick.

Step 8

Wash and core the apples. Cut into thick slices and arrange them on the dough.

Step 9

Place the cream on top of the apples and smooth it out.

Step 10

Roll out the remaining dough into a thin layer. Cut out thin strips. Place them on the cream to form a lattice.

Step 11

Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes. Remove from the oven, let cool briefly, and serve.
