Lingonberry and Apple Jam "Five Minutes"
Ingredients
Servings
  • Apples
    2 pcs
  • Cowberry
    600 G
  • Sugar
    200 G
  • Orange
    2 pcs
  • Cinnamon
    1 tsp
Preparation

Step 1

Add sugar, grated orange zest and cinnamon to the lingonberries.

Step 2

Grate the apple into a saucepan using a coarse grater.

Step 3

Cut the orange in half and squeeze only half of it through a regular juicer. Be careful not to get the seeds into the juice, as they will add bitterness to the jam.

Step 4

Pour in the orange juice and stir gently until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 5

Cook the jam over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and, maintaining a simmer, cook for 5 minutes.

Step 6

The lingonberry and apple jam is ready. Let it cool and use it in baking or serve with tea and cookies or bread. If you want to preserve it, pour it into jars while it's still hot.

Add some spices
Besides cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves pair well with apple and lingonberries. However, it's best to boil these spices in their pure form and then remove them. Otherwise, the preserves may turn out overly spicy.
