Making jam is a wonderful way to use up a tasteless melon. Cooking it will still release its flavor, and the sugar will add a sweet touch to the dessert. Even better, simply take a large honeydew melon, eat half fresh, and preserve the rest.

In this recipe, the melon is pureed, and the apples add a rich texture. This treat combines the soft, fluffy sweetness of jam with the classic flavor of preserves.

Step 1

Peel and core the melon. Cut into random pieces.

Grate the lemon zest, peel and core the apples, and cut them into small cubes. Try to make them roughly the same size so they cook through at the same time.

Skim the foam off the melon.

Step 6

Add apples and zest to the melon puree.

Bring the jam to a boil and cook for another 5 minutes.

Step 8

A wonderful apple-melon jam that no one can resist. It's a versatile addition to pancakes and crepes. It can also be added to porridge, pies, and more. Sign the banks
When you're making a lot of different preserves, it's easy to get confused. To avoid this, you can make small marks on the lids. Better yet, buy a set of stickers and label them with the name of the jam and the date it was made, so you can eat all the preserves on time.
Adjust the amount of sugar
Melon is typically sweet on its own, so the recipe uses relatively little sugar. However, you can vary the amount depending on the fruit's flavor. Other sweeteners are also possible.
