Preparation

Step 1

Peel and seed the pumpkin and cut into medium-sized pieces. Place in a saucepan and cover with water. Cook for 20 minutes, from the moment it comes to a boil, covered, until half-done.

Step 2

Cut the peeled and cored apples into quarters. Cut a lemon slice, remove the seeds, and cut into two wedges. Add the prepared ingredients to the pan with the pumpkin. Add the raisins, previously soaked in boiling water, and spices.

Step 3

Stir, cover, and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. At the end of cooking, add honey to taste and stir.

Step 4

Pumpkin jam with apples, raisins, and spices is ready. Serve as a standalone dessert or spoon into jars while hot.

Bake the pumpkin
If you plan to eat the dessert right away, try slicing the pumpkin and apple, adding the remaining ingredients into equal-sized cubes, and baking covered at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) until soft. You'll have a very delicate, dietary dessert that's great for digestion.
