Apple and orange jam
When it comes to making large batches of jam, it's best to choose the simplest recipes that will save you time and won't keep you in the kitchen for days. And this is one of them. No steeping or hours of simmering required. It only takes an hour, and the preserves will be ready.

It's easy and straightforward to prepare, but it does require some experience. Not everyone can do it right the first time.

Peel the washed apples and cut into pieces.
Grate the orange zest, then peel the citrus and cut the pulp into pieces. Be sure to remove the white pith, as it will impart bitterness to the jam.
Place the fruit pieces in a saucepan, add sugar and water. Don't add the zest yet.
Cook over moderate heat for 20 minutes.
Blend everything with an immersion blender on the countertop and add the zest. Mix with a wooden spatula.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the pan.
Remove the jam from the stove and pour into sterilized jars. Seal and let it cool completely at room temperature. Only then store the apple jam in the pantry.
