Cut the washed lemon in half and slice it into wedges. Be sure to remove and discard the seeds to prevent the citrus from becoming bitter.
Place the sugar in a saucepan and add water. Bring to a boil over low heat and simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the lemon wedges to the syrup and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Core the washed apples, halve them, and cut them into thin slices. Add them to the pan and cook for another 5 minutes.
Turn off the burner and let the jam cool so that the fruit is soaked in the syrup and becomes more translucent.
Return the jam to the heat and simmer for 30 minutes until thickened. Stir gently with a spatula to prevent the jam from burning.
The apple-lemon jam is ready. Pour it into jars or use it as a dessert with tea, or as an addition to cakes, croissants, and pies.
