Apple jam with cocoa for the winter
Chocolate apple jam is also called homemade Nutella due to its thickness and rich flavor. At first taste, it seems like apple jam with real chocolate. And it can be stored for as long as any other preserve in the pantry.

Peel and core the apples, cut them into wedges, and only then weigh them. Cut them into thin slices or grate them coarsely, if that's more convenient. Transfer the fruit to a saucepan, add the sugar, and stir. Let sit for 30 minutes to allow the apples to release their juices. Then turn the heat down to low and simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Cook uncovered, maintaining a simmer, for about 20 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even heating.
Grind the apples with an immersion blender to make the mixture more homogeneous.
Immediately add cocoa and butter, mix carefully.
Heat over the lowest heat, stirring continuously with a spatula for 5 minutes.
The apple jam with cocoa is ready. Pour into sterilized jars and seal with lids. Store in a cool place or in the refrigerator, as the cocoa may spoil the jam at room temperature.
