Step 2

In a large bowl, mix semolina and flour with baking powder, vanilla and sugar.

Step 3

Grease a baking pan with melted butter and spread a portion of the dry mixture about 5 mm thick and level it.

Step 4

Then lay out a layer of apples of the same thickness and continue filling the form, alternating layers 3 times.

Step 5

Sprinkle the last layer of apples with 1 tbsp. of sugar and pour in warm milk, distributing it along the edges and center.

Step 6

Now we run a knife over the pie so that the liquid is evenly distributed and soaks the dry mixture.

Step 7

Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 1 hour. Let it cool until warm, then remove from the pan.

Step 8

This no-knead apple pie is ready. Filling and delicious, it'll please the whole family and save you time on kneading dough.

Alternative to baking powder
If you suddenly run out of baking powder, you can replace it with ½ teaspoon of soda and citric acid, which will cope with the task and make the cake soft and crumbly.
Temperature conditions
All ingredients for the charlotte must be warm. This is especially important in this recipe, otherwise the ingredients simply won't meld together as easily into a tender pie base.
