Strawberries are the quintessential summer berry, a favorite of many children and adults. Their floral aroma and sweet-tart flavor are perfectly refreshing and invigorating. Frozen, they retain their flavor, so they can be safely stored in the freezer. Even in winter, strawberries make a delicious sorbet.

Make the syrup. Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan, place on the stove, and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved.
In an empty container, mash the strawberries until they reach a puree consistency.
Combine the syrup with the strawberry puree and stir.
Pour the mixture into a freezing mold.
Cover with a lid and place in the freezer for 1–1.5 hours.
After the time has elapsed, remove the slightly frozen sorbet from the freezer and stir. This will prevent crystals from forming in the texture. Repeat this process 2-3 times over the course of 3-4 hours until the sorbet is completely frozen.
Garnish the finished sorbet with berries or mint. Serve.
