Preparation
Step 1
Rinse the blueberries in the sink under running water or soak them in a basin for 5 minutes. Skim off any debris that floats to the surface. Then, decant and discard any bruised berries.
Step 2
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or paper towels, spread the berries out, and spread them in a single layer. Let them dry.
Step 3
Place the blueberries into containers and shake them gently to distribute them evenly.
Step 4
Close the containers and leave the berries to freeze for 14-16 hours.
Where to use blueberries?
Frozen blueberries can be used as an additional source of vitamins and minerals in compotes and preserves. For this purpose, 20-30 grams of the prepared fruit is sufficient. This berry is also excellent for coloring confectionery mixtures, decorating, and creating savory fillings.
