Unusual cakes always spark interest. And if it's not just unusual, but a themed dessert, it will bring twice the joy to the recipient. One of such sweets can rightfully be considered a heart-shaped cake. All sorts of recipes are bursting with vibrant photos and promise the amazing taste of the resulting treat. Some recipes are truly worth exploring in more detail.

Today we'll offer you recipes for two completely different cakes. A favorite among romantic desserts is the Red Velvet cake. Light, not too sweet, and very impressive, it will impress your partner and look great in photos.

Red velvet

Heart-shaped cake 3

Ingredients for the base:

  • Eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Kefir – 300 ml.
  • Butter – 130g.
  • Sugar – 250 gr.
  • Baking powder – 1.5 sachets.
  • Flour – 300g.
  • Cocoa powder – 1.5 tablespoons.
  • Salt – 2/3 teaspoon.
  • Vanillin – 1.5 sachets.
  • Food coloring red – 1 packet.

Ingredients for the cream:

  • Cottage cheese – 450 gr.
  • Cream – 300 ml. (30% and above).
  • Vanillin – 1 packet.
  • Powdered sugar – 80-100 gr.

Preparing the base:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a heart-shaped baking pan or any other shape you have and lightly dust with flour.
  2. Beat the butter and sugar until white. Add the eggs and vanilla and continue beating until smooth.
  3. Pour kefir into another bowl and dissolve the dye in it.
  4. While continuing to whisk, pour kefir into the egg-oil mixture.
  5. In another bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder and baking powder, add salt and mix.
  6. Add the dry mixture to the liquid and mix until smooth.
  7. Pour the prepared dough into the pan and bake for 40-45 minutes. Alternatively, divide the dough into 2-3 portions and bake several layers at a time, which will reduce the baking time to 25-30 minutes.
  8. 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time, check the readiness of the base with a match or a toothpick.
  9. Let the finished cake layer(s) cool. If your pan isn't heart-shaped, carefully trim it to form a heart. Set the trimmings aside—we'll need them later.

Preparation of cream:

  1. Mix the cream cheese, cream and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
  2. Beat them with a mixer until fluffy, adding powdered sugar to taste.

Design and decoration:

  1. Spread the cake layers with cream. Sprinkle the top with crumbled biscuit scraps, or decorate as desired.

The heart-shaped cake is ready! The red velvet cake deserves a photo, especially a cross-section. Don't forget to take a photo of your partner when they take their first bite. This dessert is truly amazing!

But there are other recipes too. Let's try making a heart-shaped cake with chocolate! Many recipes are guilty of adding cocoa instead of chocolate to the cream, but not this one.
