A completely sugar-free ice cream recipe
There are many culinary dishes whose recipes rely on sugar substitutes. Thanks to the wide selection of natural products, any dish can be prepared completely sugar-free. The diet ice cream recipe we offer is a delicacy that uses other sweet ingredients instead of sugar. With a little imagination, every cook can choose the main ingredients as a sweetener.
Our ice cream is made using traditional ingredients. The following ingredients are recommended:
- milk yogurt or cream - 50 ml;
- 3 egg yolks;
- butter - a tablespoon;
- fruit puree, juice or pieces of natural fruits, berries.
- sugar substitute or fructose - 50 g.
Using fruit yogurts can significantly simplify the entire preparation process, saving both time and ingredients. Low-fat yogurts are now available in stores, making them very convenient for cooking.
Each cook, following the suggested recipe, can choose their own filling and sweetener options at the final stage of preparation. Cocoa powder, natural honey, and fruit or berries are commonly used for this purpose. Ground vanilla can be added to the ice cream if desired. The main goal is to create an ice cream that is identical in taste to regular ice cream or fruit ice cream.
Cooking sequence
Sugar-free ice cream is made in the same way as the traditional, frozen treat we're accustomed to. The only difference in the entire process is the filling.
Start by preparing the main mixture. Mix the egg yolks with a small amount of cream or yogurt and stir until smooth. Then combine the resulting mixture with the remaining cream or yogurt, heating slowly and stirring constantly. It's important not to let the mixture boil.
Now, let your imagination take over. Once you've made your choice, you can add fruit puree, fruit juice, cocoa, fruit or berry pieces, or other flavor-adjusting ingredients to the prepared mixture. While mixing the finished mixture with the filling, add the sweetener, stirring vigorously until the sorbitol, fructose, or honey is completely dissolved.
Let the resulting mixture cool to room temperature, then place it in the freezer. A key component of making ice cream at home is constant and regular stirring. Every 2-3 hours, remove the mixture from the freezer and stir it. After two or three such stirrings, pour the mixture into ice cream makers or special molds and return it to the freezer.
After 5-6 hours, the ice cream will be ready and ready to serve as a refreshing, cool dessert. You can garnish the ice cream with fruit pieces used to make the juice or berries.
