Fragrant jelly with condensed milk
Content
Condensed milk jelly is an original dessert that can be prepared in a variety of ways. Let's look at two basic recipes: Broken Glass cake and Panna Cotta-style jelly – chocolate jelly with condensed milk.
How to choose condensed milk for a recipe?
Real condensed milk is made from just two ingredients: milk and sugar. Those with multicookers and slow cookers can make their own condensed milk at home to obtain the highest quality product.
Modern manufacturers add plant-based ingredients to condensed milk, which negatively impact the final quality of desserts. We recommend carefully reading the product's ingredients before purchasing. Choose products marked with the abbreviation GOST or DSTU. Also, be sure to choose tin cans over glass ones.
You can conduct a small experiment to verify the quality of condensed milk. Drop a small amount of iodine into a spoonful of condensed milk. If the stain turns blue, it means the unscrupulous manufacturer added starch. It's not recommended to use condensed milk made from palm or coconut oil when making jelly.
Broken Glass Cake – A Jelly Recipe Using Condensed Milk
To prepare an original and vibrant dessert, you will need several packets of jelly (available at any grocery store), a packet of gelatin, and 2 cans of condensed milk.
- Take 4 packets of multi-colored jelly, 2 cans of condensed milk, a pack (30 grams) of gelatin or agar-agar (vegetable gelatin based on pectin).
- Prepare 5 types of jelly in different containers - 4 from store-bought packets, and the fifth from condensed milk with gelatin dissolved in a glass of warm water.
- In a deep bowl, cut the multi-colored jelly into cubes.
- Mix up the cubes that look like stained glass shards.
- Pour condensed milk and gelatin over everything.
- Leave in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- When serving, turn the resulting cake out onto a flat plate, cut into portions and garnish with fresh mint or lemon balm leaves.
This dessert is perfect for family summer gatherings, as it offers a refreshing yet filling and delicious experience. It pairs perfectly with aromatic coffee, herbal tea, compote, or any other beverage.
Panacotta with boiled condensed milk
Panacotta is an Italian creamy dessert, but by slightly modifying its ingredients, you can get a magnificent chocolate jelly made from condensed milk that will drive any gourmet crazy.
This dessert is incredibly delicate, and its flavor will be unforgettable. The beauty of this jelly is that it's perfect for both breakfast and dinner. And sparkling wine lovers won't be able to resist the pleasure of trying this dessert with a glass of champagne.

Preparing panna cotta with boiled condensed milk is easy:

- Gently add condensed milk to regular milk and mix.
- Add cream and stir again.
- You should get a thick mass.
- Divide into three parts - add boiled condensed milk to one, melted chocolate to the second, and leave the third without additives.
- Place in a deep form in layers - first the white layer, then the layer with boiled condensed milk, and then the layer with chocolate.
This dessert can be served with a berry sauce; raspberries or cranberries work best. To make the sauce, take a cup of frozen or fresh berries and half a cup of sugar. Blend the berries and sugar until smooth. Drizzle the berry mousse over the dessert just before serving for the most appetizing look. Enjoy!
