A dessert that can be a gift: 3D flowers with juice and gelatin
Every homemaker sometimes wants to surprise their loved ones, family, and friends. This can be done with original, skillful recipes, unusual foreign products, or simply with exciting new culinary innovations. Today we have prepared an amazing dessert for you – 3D flowers in jelly. Believe me, no one will ever guess how exactly you did it. The secret lies in simplicity, because everything simple is genius!
Clear jelly with 3D flowers inside is a delicious dessert for any occasion. You don't have to force your guests to eat fresh, frozen, or candied flowers—it's much more fun. To make this wonderful dessert, you'll need just a few simple ingredients and a lot of imagination.
Choosing a flower
The first thing you need to decide when planning to make 3D jelly flowers is the type and color scheme. They can be pink, blue, yellow, purple, or any other color. The color determines the dye we'll use. The chosen shape determines the type and number of tools we'll need. So, the simplest method is simply using a syringe. Let's take a closer look.
Recipe
Let's make a delicious jelly dessert with a red "aster" in the center. For this, we'll need the following ingredients:
- 25 g gelatin;
- Vanilla sugar;
- Sugar, 2 tablespoons
- 1 glass of water;
- A little lemon juice;
- 1 glass of milk;
- Beetroot juice 0.5 cup;
- Orange juice 0.5 cup;
- Spinach juice (can be replaced with green jelly, but it won’t be as effective).
Tools:
- Deep round plate (small salad bowl);
- Syringes by number of shades;
- Plastic spoon;
Let's get started. First, you need to make the jelly in which you'll place the asters. We make the jelly the standard way: dissolve the gelatin in water, add a little sugar and lemon juice for flavor, and set it in a hemispherical salad bowl to set. Next, soak the gelatin while the milk is boiling, add the sugar and vanilla, dissolve thoroughly, and bring the mixture to a boil.
Watch carefully to make sure it doesn't boil over! After the milk has cooled slightly, gradually whisk in the swollen gelatin and stir until completely dissolved. Divide the mixture into three parts, adding a different coloring to each: orange, beetroot, and spinach juice.
We'll insert our flower into the prepared jelly using a syringe. First, we need to create the center. It will be orange. Take the orange juice mixture, fill the syringe, and inject it into the jelly. Form the flower's center by "needling." The petals will appear in the same pattern. Fill another syringe with the beetroot juice mixture (red) and form the petals. Injecting the mixture with the syringe in a circular motion, we form multiple petals of varying lengths. You can slightly pull the needle to create a larger petal. Remove any excess mixture that rises to the surface with a plastic spoon dipped in water. The final touch is the green petals, which we create in the same way, using the green mixture. After that, remove any excess from the surface of the jelly with a spoon, soak it with a paper towel, and refrigerate for half an hour. And voila, you can serve it and surprise your family!
If you need to make flowers with wide petals, you'll need to use a spoon or knife. To do this, carefully insert the knife into the jelly and use a syringe to inject the jelly into the inside. Enjoy!
