Most of us love the unusual dessert of jelly. Making three-layer jelly isn't difficult, but it's so satisfying! Any recipe for this sweet treat includes three main ingredients:
- gelatin;
- juice or other liquid base.
You can add fruits, berries, nuts, chocolate, cocoa to them... The housewives' fantasies are endless. Let's try experimenting by making three-layer jelly.
Classic recipe for three-layer jelly
You can choose the filling for each jelly layer yourself. The easiest option is to buy three packets of dry jelly at the store and make a three-layer jelly from them. However, natural ingredients are always better and tastier. The only rule is that the flavors should complement each other.
As an example, let's take a jelly recipe with chocolate, milk, and cherry layers. Their flavors blend perfectly. To prepare, we'll need:
- a liter of sour cream or fermented baked milk;
- 6 tablespoons of sugar;
- 2 tablespoons dry cocoa;
- 75 grams of gelatin;
- a little vanilla;
- a glass of cherry jam;
- a glass of water.
Before you begin, soak the gelatin in water. Since this recipe requires a significant amount of preparation time, you should only soak 25 grams the first time. Once the gelatin has swelled, warm it in a double boiler until it dissolves, but never boil it. Use half a cup of water per packet of dry gelatin.
For the first layer—the chocolate layer—take half a liter of sour cream or fermented baked milk, add half the sugar, and blend all the ingredients in a blender. Then stir in the dissolved gelatin, pour into molds, and refrigerate for an hour.
The next layer will be made from the remaining sour cream or fermented baked milk. The recipe allows for making jelly with milk, but sour cream makes for a much better result. Again, dilute the gelatin with water, heat it in a double boiler until dissolved, and then pour it into the sour cream mixed with sugar. Pour the mixture into molds on top of the previous layer and refrigerate again.
The cherry layer is an acquired taste. If you're not a fan of combining milk and fruit, the third layer can also be made chocolate. If you're looking to treat your loved ones to something different, you'll need to dissolve the gelatin again and then pour it into the cherry compote or cherry jam diluted with water. Pour the mixture over the third layer and refrigerate.
When preparing three-layer jelly, remember one rule: each subsequent layer must cool to room temperature, otherwise it will melt the previous one. Remove the dish from the refrigerator. Look at the photo: how delicious the dessert looks!

For those who enjoy low-calorie sweets, we offer a recipe for kefir jelly. You'll need:
- half a liter of kefir;
- 0.1 l of water;
- 15 grams of gelatin;
- 75 grams of sugar;
- 50 grams of nuts.
Divide the kefir into three equal portions and add 1 gram of food coloring or a small amount of natural juice (carrot, beetroot). It's recommended to leave one portion white. Mix each portion of kefir with 25 grams of sugar. Pre-soak the gelatin in water, warm it up, and then mix it with each portion of kefir separately. Now pour the bottom layer. To help it freeze faster, it's recommended to place the molds in the freezer. After 20 minutes, remove the jelly and add the second layer. Then repeat with the third layer. Decorate with nuts on top. In just a couple of hours, you'll have a bright and delicious dessert, just like the one in the photo!
